What the Flag Still Means: A Flag Day Post for Our Time
The American flag has flown through some of our darkest hours, and some of our proudest. It’s been carried into battle, draped across the shoulders of heroes, and laid to rest with those who gave their lives in service.

But a symbol is only as strong as the values behind it.

In times like these, when our nation feels divided and the path ahead uncertain, it’s more important than ever to remember what the flag should stand for:

Democracy.
Accountability.
Freedom. Not just for some, but for all.

As a Navy veteran, I believe patriotism isn’t blind loyalty. It’s a commitment to preserve and protect the ideals that make this country worth fighting for.

So today, I raise the flag, not as a decoration, but as a call to remember who we are, and who we still have the chance to be.

Dale, Thanks for your assessment of our country and our government but I am afraid that the majority of our voters don’t agree with us and twice elected a man that considers us as “sucker losers”. Al
