Hiroshima and Nagasaki Remembrance Week (August, 1945)
Hiroshima Remembrance

Today, we stand in solemn remembrance between the anniversaries of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki—two days that profoundly changed our world. As we reflect on these pivotal moments in history, let us honor the immense loss of life and the enduring spirit of those who survived. These anniversaries remind us of the devastating power of war and reinforce our commitment to pursue peace and reconciliation among all nations. May we continue to learn from the past and work tirelessly toward a future where such tragedies are never repeated. We remember, we reflect, we strive for peace. ~Dale 🏯🕊️

“Each person had a name. Each person was loved by someone. Let us ensure that their deaths were not in vain.” —Setsuko Thurlow, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient and survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima
