Negotiate with Hitler?
Churchill / Zelensky - History & Foreign Relations

If Trump had been president in 1940 instead of Franklin D. Roosevelt, would he have told Winston Churchill he had no cards and instead formed an agreement with the power person in Europe, Adolf Hitler?

Roosevelt, imbued with America’s foundation of human rights, supported Churchill unwaveringly.  Despite this support of Churchill and help from other allies, we saw what Hitler did until he was finally defeated.

America was founded on “certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The denial of these led to our independence and have been a guiding philosophy since then. Hitler saw no human rights in anyone who opposed him and killed by the millions. Putin shows no hesitation to use his own citizens as cannon fodder to fulfill his dreams of glory.

Is it possible for Trump to understand the founding principles of American civilization? To bring those principles to our foreign relations is our challenge now.
